We have been taking people on the flight of their lives since 2008. Three RFAE-certified pilots, one island, thousands of unforgettable experiences.
Born from passion, built on trust
Tenerife Tandem Paragliding was founded in 2008 by Alejandro Ruiz and María Delgado — two local pilots who shared a simple belief: that the feeling of flying should be available to everyone, not just trained pilots.
Over sixteen years we have flown passengers from over 40 countries, watched thousands of people experience the sky for the first time, and built a reputation as Tenerife's most trusted tandem operation. We are small by design — three pilots, three locations, five packages. No franchise, no call centre. When you book with us, you fly with us.
We speak your language — literally. Between the team we cover Spanish, English, German, French and Russian. Every passenger is briefed in their preferred language.

Our pilots have been flying Tenerife for a combined 35+ years. We know every thermal, every ridge, every site better than anyone. That local knowledge translates directly to better flights.

If conditions are not right, we cancel — always with a full refund or free reschedule. We would rather disappoint you once than put you in the air when it isn't safe.

Annual recurrent training, equipment upgrades, and post-season safety reviews. We are never done getting better.
Meet the pilots
Alejandro Ruiz
Chief Pilot & Co-founder

Alejandro discovered paragliding at age 19 in the mountains above Santa Cruz and never looked back. With over 4,200 tandem flights logged, he holds RFAE Level 3 certification and has trained every pilot on our team. His favourite launch is Izaña on a clear winter morning, flying above the clouds with Teide to the south.
María Delgado
Senior Pilot & Co-founder

María grew up in Costa Adeje and spent years studying the coastal thermals before becoming one of the island's most experienced tandem pilots. She specialises in sunset and special occasion flights and holds the island record for airtime at the Masca Valley site. She is also our lead instructor for pilot training.
Tobias Bauer
Pilot — Teide Specialist

Tobias came to Tenerife from Bavaria for a holiday in 2014 and decided to stay. His high-altitude background from alpine flying made him the natural fit for our Izaña-Teide operations. He leads all Premium package flights and is responsible for our equipment maintenance programme.
Our journey
Alejandro and María complete RFAE tandem certification and fly their first passengers from Costa Adeje.
Official company registration as Tenerife Tandem Paragliding S.L. First AESA operating licence issued.
Expanded to Izaña-Teide site. First full-season Premium package launched.
Tobias joins the team. Masca Valley site added. Total fleet expanded to six EN-D wings.
1,000th five-star TripAdvisor review. Photo & video package introduced.
Online booking platform launched. Group package restructured for up to 20 passengers.
All-time record airtime season. Sunset flight introduced as a permanent package.
