Before You Fly

Do I need any experience to go tandem paragliding in Tenerife?

No experience is required. Tandem paragliding means you fly with a certified pilot who controls the glider entirely. All you need to do is follow a short briefing, run a few steps on take-off, and enjoy the view. If you can walk, you can fly.

What are the age and weight limits for paragliding in Tenerife?

Minimum age is 7 years old. Passengers under 18 must have written parental consent. Maximum weight is 110 kg and minimum weight is 30 kg (needed for harness fit). Children between 7 and 12 may be assessed individually — contact us if in doubt.

Are there any medical restrictions for tandem paragliding?

We ask that passengers are in general good health. You should not fly if you have a serious heart condition, epilepsy, recent surgery (within 3 months), active ear infections, or are pregnant at any stage. If you are unsure, consult your doctor first and let us know — we can usually accommodate most mild conditions.

Is tandem paragliding in Tenerife safe?

Tandem paragliding with a certified pilot is a very safe activity when conducted by professionals in appropriate conditions. All our pilots hold RFAE tandem certification with 2,100–4,200+ hours each. Equipment is maintained to European EN standards, and flights are cancelled whenever conditions are not ideal. You can read more on our Safety page.

What should I wear for a paragliding flight?

Comfortable clothes appropriate to the season, and closed-toe shoes you can run in — no flip-flops, sandals, or heels. At Teide the temperature is 5–10°C cooler than the coast, so bring a light jacket for high-altitude flights. We provide a full harness and helmet.

Booking & Payment

How far in advance should I book my paragliding flight?

We recommend booking at least 3–7 days ahead, especially in July–September when availability is tight. However, last-minute slots do appear when others reschedule due to weather, so it is always worth checking.

Do I pay the full amount upfront?

No. A deposit of €25–€50 per person (depending on the package) is all that is required to secure your booking. The balance is paid on the day of your flight, in cash or by card at the meeting point.

Can I pay in cash on the day?

Yes. The deposit is charged at booking to confirm your slot. The remaining balance can be paid in cash (euros) or by Visa/Mastercard at the take-off point. We do not accept American Express.

Can I book tandem paragliding for a large group?

Yes. Our Group package is designed for 4–20 passengers. For groups over 8, please contact us directly so we can arrange pilots and logistics tailored to your group. Groups of 4–7 can book directly through the website.

Can I buy a paragliding gift voucher?

Yes — email or WhatsApp us with the package and passenger details and we will issue a dated or open voucher. Open vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase.

On the Day

Where do we meet for the paragliding flight?

After booking you receive a confirmation email with a meeting point link and a pilot phone number. In most cases you drive to a car park near the take-off zone and meet your pilot there. Pick-up transfers are available as an add-on for an additional fee.

How long does the whole paragliding experience take?

Allow 2–3 hours for the full experience including travel to the take-off zone, briefing, the flight itself, and return. The actual airtime ranges from 20 minutes (Discovery) to 55 minutes (Premium). The briefing and preparation takes around 30–45 minutes.

What happens if the weather is bad on my flight day?

If conditions are not safe, we cancel. You will be informed as early as possible — usually by 8:00 a.m. on the day. You can reschedule to any available date at no extra cost, or receive a full refund. We never ask you to wait around at a site in poor conditions.

Which location will we fly from in Tenerife?

The final take-off site is confirmed on the morning of your flight based on wind direction and conditions. Within the zone you selected, we may use a slightly different launch point to ensure the best and safest flight. If you have a specific preference, tell us when booking and we will do our best.

Can I take photos or bring my phone on the paragliding flight?

Yes, but we recommend securing your phone with a lanyard. If you book the Photo & Video package, your pilot carries a mounted camera and you receive a download link within 48 hours. This produces much better footage than a handheld phone in turbulent air.

After the Flight

When do I receive my paragliding photos and video?

If you purchased the Photo & Video package, you will receive a secure download link to your email within 24–48 hours of your flight. The package includes edited highlight footage and a selection of stills.

How do I leave a review for my paragliding experience?

We greatly appreciate reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, or Trustpilot — they help other travellers make the decision to fly. Your confirmation email includes direct links. If anything was not perfect, please contact us first and we will make it right.

Can I rebook after my first paragliding flight?

Absolutely. Repeat passengers receive a 10% discount on any subsequent flight. Just mention that you have flown with us before when booking.
